Cooking Tip
Fresh Peas

Fresh peas lose almost 40% of their sugar content after 6 hours of room temperature storage. The sugar is converted to starch.

Cooking Tip
Fresh Carrots
Avoid carrots with green tops, they will be bitter. The green color is caused by sunlight and is usually the result of heavy rain washing the soil away.
